About
We know service alone does not help students achieve learning goals. Whether through classroom discussions or written assignments, the research indicates learning happens through a combination of action and reflection. But what do we do when our students’ reflections are disappointingly shallow? Join us for an opportunity to learn from the literature and from each other. What classroom facilitation techniques and assignment designs succeed in challenging students to reflect more critically on their experiences? What supports need to be in place to balance that challenge? Lunch will be provided, please bring a drink.
