Live theater is back!
The musical revue “The World Goes ‘Round” celebrates the songs of Kander & Ebb, one of the longest and most successful songwriting teams in American musical theater history. Their Broadway shows include Cabaret, Chicago, The Act, Woman of The Year, The Rink, and Zorba -- and films such as Funny Lady and New York, New York.
Travel song-to-song–to-song through five decades of beloved Broadway show tunes. If you love Musical Theater, you will love this show!
Director/Choreographer David Ward is excited to bring live theater back. “Even during COVID, we’ve had a record number of students trying out. Kids are hungry for this experience,” says Ward.
“Because students have lost so many of their usual activities,” adds Schad, “we wanted to offer this opportunity to as many as we could.”
The cast of 33 is headed by principals Jack Bendon, Marina Carosso, Bobby Goldyn, Jadyn Gurly, Joshua O’Connor, Stef Peterson, Sophie Preiser, Kristian Lloyd Roque, Preston Summit, Max Tramontin, Leela Waterford and two dozen other singers and dancers.
Music directors Molly Schad and Peter Della Croce have put together a live band. The show is costumed by Vanessa Cerrito and Andre Morissette with sets and lighting by Todd Van Amburgh.
